Premenstrual Syndrome

Premenstrual Syndrome or PMS is the name given to the collection of physical and emotional symptoms affecting daily life in the 2 weeks before a menstrual period. These symptoms usually improve once a period starts and often disappear by the end of the period.

This leaflet aims to explain what PMS is, why people experience it, how it can be helped with self help, complimentary therapies and medical management options.

It is recommended anyone with PMS keeps a Diary for at least 2 months. This chart is designed for you to complete and take to your healthcare professional appointment.
